Introduction

Motorola has a solid side of phones as of late. A few weeks back the mobile phone icon disclosed the X30 Pro and S30 Pro in China. The "30 series", for absence of a better name, has now started publishing globally under a little different name. And one of the first announcements is the Motorola Edge 30 Fusion - the worldwide market variant of the Moto S30 Pro.

Specifications

Despite its rather complicated name, the Edge 30 Fusion is quite clear in what it offers. On document, it is zero short of a well-rounded superior mid-ranger, or perhaps even "budget flagship," if that's further up your path. It has a great 10-bit, HDR10+, 144Hz OLED display frontage and middle, a strong Dolby Atmos stereo speaker setup, an ex-flagship Snapdragon 888+ chipset, a large 4,400mAh battery with 68W charging and a 50MP OIS-enabled rare camera, backed up by a 32MP front camera with autofocus.

There is a lot to love here, at least on term paper. Plus, the Edge 30 Fusion is absolutely a charmer on the exterior. It sports a very stylish exterior, complete with effortless yet strong lines, loads of curves both on the big presentation and across the back, where the fake leather lacquer really ties the whole layout together. The Edge 30 Fusion looks very elegant and dignified, like rather you would see floating out on a boardroom table.

Focus on good in person and on paper is only part the battle, however, and even at first glance, the Moto Edge 30 Fusion isn't wonderful and has certain omissions here and there. The big question mark is how well it all comes together. Join us on the next pages as we dive worse to find out.

Unboxing

The Motorola Edge 30 Fusion pack in a thick, strong two-piece box. It does a fantastic job of strongly holding all in place and safeguarding it during transit, and that's even in the lack of any plastics in our out. The box is apparently made of reused materials. Motorola even took to leave its organic color or shoot for a natural-look dye to better convey this sense of an biologically pleasant method. The words "eco-friendly container" is covered in big graffiti on the side of the box, so there is a fine point of pride in that interest.

Accessories

The Edge 30 Fusion has a quite rich retail package. It contains a shockingly compact 68W PD charger along with a Type-C to Type-C USB cable. Also in the box is a fine thick, crystal clear TPU case so you can start utilizing the phone immediately devoid of any worries. The workshop pre-applied plastic display protector also helps in this concern.
