UP Police

Board for Promotion and Recruitment of Police in Uttar Pradesh (known as UPPRPB). The main law enforcement organisation in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is called the UP Police. As the officer of the police inspector general, UP Police was founded in 1863. The UP Police is not only the largest but also one of the oldest departments in the Republic of India.

The UPP's main office is in Lucknow, at the Signature Building in Gomti Nagar, Ardonamau. Both 1,368 gazetted and 3,35,546 non-gazetted officers are present. The confidential and home department of UP oversees UP Police. The director-general of police (DGP) of the UP state also serves as the chief of the Uttar Pradesh Police.

By having the highway patrol division known as UP highway police, UP police have established themselves as India's first state police agency.

The 9534 positions that the UP Police are offering are subject to the most recent revisions, according to the UPPRP Board. The UPPRP Board also publishes notices for the hiring of 7865 civil police, including both males and female sub-inspectors. Only men are being recruited for the 36 fire service station officers and 578 platoon commander positions.
