Canada Approves Medical Use of Psilocybin and MDMA to Treat Mental Illness

Psilocybin, known on the street as magic mushrooms, and MDMA, the active ingredient in ecstasy, were previously only allowed in palliative circumstances or if someone received a federal exemption from the health minister.
