How yoga came into existence?

Yoga came into existence in northern India over 5,000 years ago. The Rig Veda, a collection of ancient religious books, is where the word “yoga” first appears. Four ancient religious books known as the Vedas were originally authored in Sanskrit.
It’s believed that yoga has been performed from the very beginning of human civilization. Even before the first religions or cultural beliefs were established, the science of yoga was developed. Shiva is considered the first yogi, or Adiyogi, as well as the first Guru, or Adi Guru, in yogic literature.

Ancient Roots of Yoga:

Yoga is an age-old technique that focuses on breathing, flexibility, and strength to improve mental and physical health. It consists of a collection of physical, mental, and spiritual disciplines or exercises.
Yoga’s main components are breathing and poses (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility.)
According to legend, the tradition first appeared in India thousands of years ago and has since undergone many forms of adaptation in other nations. Here, we look at the history of yoga, its unique qualities, and how it has spread throughout the world.
