Elon Musk asked for a Twitter poll to the users on whether he should stay as the boss or not
Elon Musk is asking Twitter users to vote on his future as its chief executive officer.

Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter

Elon Musk tweeted: "Should I step down as head, I will abide by the results", in a poll to his 122 million followers. Mr. Musk is a technology tycoon who is the owner of two big companies, Tesla and Space X, but since he took over Twitter he has faced criticism.

This new poll comes as the social media platform said it will shut down accounts that are solely designed to promote other social media platforms. The company also said in a tweet that the shutting down might also affect accounts that link off to or contain usernames from a platform such as Mastodon, Truth Social, Instagram, Tribel, Post, Facebook, and Nostr. The Twitter boss also announced that the major policy changes in the platform would be voted on moving forward.

But the new Twitter rules seem unwelcome among social media users. However, according to Mr. Musk, cross-content posting from other platforms will be allowed. But the free promotion of certain social media platforms will not be allowed on Twitter.
